Dropracks Roof Rack
The Dropracks Roofrack systems bring a new meaning to effortless easy lower level loading onto your vehicles roof, they are a perfect solution for loading canoes, kayaks, bikes, roof boxes and even roof tents much more simply. Available in 3 sizes: Regular perfect for cars or smaller SUV's, the XL is ideal for Vans, VW T5/T6, SUV's & 4x4's, while the TVE1 is designed for use on camper vans and higher top vans.
The design of the Droprack systems has thought about ease of use first and foremost, in doing so they have tried to keep everything essential in easy reach. Using the push button style locks under each bar to active the rack, users then release the crank lever handle and simply wind the rack with one hand while steadying the mid cross bar with the other hand and down comes the Droprack. Should you need to stop mid lower the droprack will stay locked securely in place. Once you have loaded and secured all your cargo on the rack you just use the crank lever to raise back up then slide the rack back into place listening for the click of the locks.
The top of each bar has a T-Track style slot in it which makes for adding your choice of carrier super simple, these slots are compatible with the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero, Thule Bike Carriers or Thule Roof Boxes (With Adaptors). The top side of the durable black anodised aluminium bars also have a rubber strip which works both as added protection as well as for increased levels of friction if securing directly onto the bars. For the easiest way of strapping canoes or kayaks to the bars directly using the Thule Eye Bolts, this is due to the bars needing to remain free from straps going under them to allow for the smooth operation of the droprack.
The overall loading width on all the Droprack solutions enables the carrying of multiple items from a kayak and a bike to a roof box and a kayak or even a few of the same items. The lifting capacity of between 74-80kgs (depending on the Droprack version required for your vehicle) should allow plenty of lift assist for almost everything you could want to load.
Please Note: Droprack Roofracks are only suitable for Raised Rail, Flush Rail and Fixed Point roof mountings.
