The Venture Canoes Range 149 Cruiser is a compact open canoe ideal for paddlers looking for a canoe to paddle a combination of either tandem with two smaller paddlers or solo. Thanks to an ever so slightly lower profile freeboard the Ranger 149 is able to deal with windy conditions without being moved around too much. A minimum rocker with flat mid section hull is perfect for building confidence in newer paddlers thanks to its stable hull but not limiting experienced paddlers looking to move into a triple layer plastic construction canoes. Venture have made the Ranger 149 Cruiser from the popular and tough Corelite plastic this uses a HDPE outer layer of plastic with a rigid foam inner layer which provides enough buoyancy to keep the canoe at the waterline should swamping occur.
The Venture Ranger 149 Cruiser is well outfitted with wood webbed seats, these are oiled as standard and match in with the carrying yoke. Handles that are built into the deck end caps make two person lift and loading easy and comfortable which really helps when moving the Ranger 149 around off the water. If required the Venture Ranger 149 Cruiser Corelite has the correct vinyl gunwale profile to fit with using a wooden Motor Mount and transom style small electric outboard motor.
