Thule Basin
Thule Basin Rooftent is a 2 person roof bar mounted pop up tent with a hard-shell top. Designed for quick and easy set up, the Basin pops up and is user ready in under a minute. Its hard-shell top is perfect for use in harsh weathers as it is insulated to help control the internal temperature, as well as to help reduce noise. Thinking about every possible use Thule have also given the basin the ability to be used as a Cargo Box / Roofbox when not used as a tent. This versatile design allows for the patented zipped canopy system to be used to remove the internal tent, leaving a shell that can be used as the Cargo Box / Roofbox. To release the Basin as a tent simply release the secure fastenings at both ends to allow the hard-shell to rise, or if using as a Cargo Box release the front and this will allow easier wedge access for storage.
Installing the Basin to your roof rack is quick and easy using the easy-install mounting brackets with built in torque limiter to always ensure a safe fitment. These easy-install fixings allow for a full mount in around half the time of the traditional fixing & mounting systems.
Inside the Thule Basin feels spacious and roomy for 2 people with an internal peak height of 91cm. Large windows either side and doors either end allow for good light and air flow through the Basin Rooftent. These openings all have fly mesh for when they are in use and fabric closures for nights to help keep the light out. This along with the included foam mattress makes for a restful nights sleep in the Basin. Handy pockets either end and a large cargo netting on the roof offer a great amount of storage that is out of the way when the Basin is occupied. The telescopic ladder provided with the Basin hard topped rooftent can be attached the underside of either end to allow access from which ever is the easiest.
When compressed back to travel mode, the Basin has a sleek and compact design that looks stylish in its gloss black finish.
