Riot Mako 12
The Riot Mako 12 is an amazingly versatile sit on top kayak that's great for anyone who either struggles with using a kayak paddle over longer distances or someone who just loves the idea of cruising about but using their legs rather than their arms. Fitted with a simple pedal drive system, with an action very much like you'd find on a push bike, the Mako 12 uses its' propeller to take you smoothly where you want to go. The kayak is steered using a rudder so manoeuvring is simple and the whole thing feels very well designed and gives you plenty of confidence.
There's plenty of storage space for kit with a large tank area to the front, 2 small storage hatches and then another bungee-copvered rear tank. For the budding kayak fishing paddler, there are rod holders already moulded into the hull at various locations and rails that make mounting accessories easy with no drilling into the hull required.
The really great think here is the price. Pedal drive and propeller powered kayaks are notoriously expensive, so to have a cheaper one of this quallity available at this price will be a big attraction to many; especially those that love a spot of kayak fishing. Whilst the Mako 10 is a great little boat for fresh water, for all round kayak fishing longer is usually better and the Mako 12 certainly is no exception. With more speed, storage space and overall performance, the Mako 12 is a great choice and will help you to really improve your fishing and resulting catch.
