The Ocean Kayak Malibu PDL is a high performance, feature packed fishing sit on top kayak designed for use on both fresh and light coastal waters. The efficiency of the Malibu PDL come not only from the drive system but also from the upswept bow enabling a great push through the water.

On light coastal waters the Malibu PDL handles itself very well, the flared bow disperses chop, while the bow keeps the Malibu PDL riding over waves and chop. The wide tri-hull style design makes the Malibu PDL feel superbly stable, giving confidence immediately. At only 12ft this short and stable Ocean Kayak is a great grab and go option. An easy to use rudder system which is controlled by a steering handle to the left of the cockpit makes the Malibu feel nimble on the water. For easy deployment and retraction of the rudder system Ocean Kayak have positioned a lever to the right side of the seat.

The PDL Drive system is an award winning, propeller driven system with instantaneous forward and reverse thrust, by simply using the pedals in a forward or backwards motion. The entire drive is removable from the kayak during transportation, along with the seating system. Using Ocean Kayaks incredible easy-docking system which has 2 spinning latches to hold the drive into moulded recesses, then the entire drive simply drops through the hull.

Long days out on the Malibu PDL could not be more comfortable, with Ocean Kayaks Element Beach seating system made from a breathable mesh, with easy recline adjustment as well as built in lumbar support. This seat is mounted to a slide track system for perfect adjustments ideal for different leg lengths to comfortably reach the PDL Drive. A mesh pocket below the seat provides a storage shelf perfect for tackle boxes, a large cup holder allow easy storage of your drink, bungee' d storage tanks located at the bow and stern are perfect for larger crates or dry bags. A larger rectangle easy lock hatch located just behind the seat provide added storage as well as access into the hull.

From the factory the Malibu PDL comes outfitted with features suited to kayak fishing, 2 flush mounted rear facing rod holders behind the seat & 1 forward facing flush mounted rod holder to the side of the seating position that is ideal for landing fish or changing lures. A Universal Transducer Mounting System just in front of the pedal drive keeps your fish finder protected with a single centre scupper hole to run the cables through, two 18” accessory tracks provide easy mounting for your head unit, additional rod holders or even camera mounts.
