Design Kayaks Unplugged Sea Kayak
The Design Kayaks Unplugged sea kayak is one of the ultimate all round long touring/sea kayaks on the market. Allowing paddlers the ability to have a perfect blend of speed and stability thanks to its medium rocker along with a soft chined shallow V hull shape. It's hull shape combined with the rocker responds brilliantly and when edged makes controlling the kayak and spinning the kayak around an easy task. The medium rocker with low front and rear decks enables the Unplugged Sea Kayak to cope well with wind, waves and chop which also gives great performance in some mild surf. All this without taking away the ability for the Unplugged to give great levels of sea/touring performance with brilliant tracking. A line fed drop down skeg helps in tricky conditions adding to the tracking ability of the Design Kayaks Unplugged, it's easy to deploy from the well positioned skeg control which is flush mounted right next to the cockpit.
The tough triple layer PE construction of the Unplugged offers a rigid on the water feel which enables paddlers of all levels to be able to feel confident quickly in this sea kayak on the water. Thanks to this triple layer construction it has allowed Design Kayaks to create a lighter weight sea kayak than other similar models of sea kayaks made by other manufacturers.
Design Kayaks haven't stopped by just making a well performing, tough sea kayak hull. they have also equipped the Unplugged with comfort and style. Adjustable foot pegs that can be moved when on the water are a superb starting place to get the most comfortable fit, the adjustable back band offers support where it is needed with out getting it the way of those who like to roll their kayak. Moulded into the cockpit rim are the well placed padded thigh braces which give that final part of the lock in puzzle and ensure the best kayak control. On the deck stylish coloured hatches give entry into 3 spacious areas in which you can store all you gear, this includes a large, bulk headed, bow and stern hatch as well as a bulk headed day hatch just behind the seat. Colour matched deck lines and bungee cords don't only finish off the looks but also offer great on deck storage.
